Re: United States Politics Thread 46

I'm sorry, but you're both missing the point. In this country, lots of people look at me, a brown-skinned man with facial hair, and immediately see a terrorist. Sometimes, people seeing someone like me have actually shot and killed them as a result. A Chump-supporter has already killed an Indian whi...

Re: United States Politics Thread 46

See? This is the problem with "but this had more victims than that!" Any racially motivated murder is still a racially motivated murder.

Several Indians have been murdered in recent years. I actually can't think of one who was murdered by the police.

Or! Maybe you could just stop trying to make this all about the left when many of us are not fortunate enough to guarantee not being shot on sight because our skin color somehow gets us conflated with terrorists.

Moreover, I don't know how trustworthy I would consider an online magazine that is basically saying "both sides!" during an epidemic of racial violence.

Apparently, he was from Strasbourg, in which case I guess he was from France.

Are you really the only person here who speaks Irish? (Unless I count, I guess. :? Sorry, I didn't sleep well, so I'm not sure how well my memory/brain is working).

Because you then get nonsensical comparisons, because countries with larger populations will naturally tend to have greater COVID cases even if they do a better job of keeping people from catching COVID than, say, Andorra. China has fewer cases than most despite being where it was first reported to...

I normally don't agree with Nortaneous on much of anything, but comparing countries' total COVID cases, as opposed to COVID cases per capita, makes no sense at all. Why not? Because you then get nonsensical comparisons, because countries with larger populations will naturally tend to have greater C...

Once again, I have no idea what you're going on about except this: The country with the highest rate of COVID cases per capita is Andorra. The US isn't even in the top ten. I wasn't talking about per capita. I was talking about overall. I normally don't agree with Nortaneous on much of anything, bu...
