Pempemam pubie, ruvam pilži, mampampombi.
bridge-LOC move.along-1.PAST, fish.market-LOC approach-1.PAST, meal-BUY-1p-DAT-Ø-1.PAST
I went down the bridge towards the market to buy a meal.

Firumbos, pempema pimmiafel, uppa šivabambel. Maemumpopapiopel.
return-1-GEN, bridge rise-REFL-3.PAST, large.ship cross-TR-3-DAT-3.past. wait-1-SUBJ-DEBT-1-SUBJ-3.PAST
On the way back, the bridge was up to let a ship through. So I had to wait.

Im out of practice so the glosses and even the grammar might be a bit off. BUY is capitalized because, despite its meaning, it behaves as an inflection, not a simple verbal compound.

Pattambi pepeži, plendžom pirumbwopi popefopapie.
perching.bird-LOC-1P.past poop-TR-1P.PASS.past, home-1P-LOC return-1p<CAUS>-1P.past shower-REFL-1p-NEED-1P.past.
A bird pooped on me, so I had to go home and take a shower.
