My language has a five-vowel system (a-e-i-o-ɯ), which is also fairly common. The conlanging trouble though is adjusting foreign words to the phonology.

I-nom like again-pol-pres-masc-sg second-acc sg. Original/first-masc-sg-nom show-nom-sg-pol before forty (three-twelve-four) year-abl-pl in past-abl-sg. It-nom be-pol-masc-sg-pres too old-nom -sg.masc now

I still like the remake. The original show was made over 40 years ago. It is too old now.

(In the new one, Cylons plan a lot of thoughtful secrets. They are good and slimy.)

In the new show, the Cylons have a lot of secret, psychological plots. They make good villains.

Thankfully I'm in a part of England where we can meet other households on Christmas day, and I am lucky that my parents live nearby, so I will see them and my aunt.
