Yeah - Zotung's probably one of the most recognizable Kuki-Chin languages, hence why I picked it.

It's indeed Kuki-Chin and it's indeed tonal, but the orthography doesn't mark the tones.

since all the Munda languages look pretty much the same I decided to skim through Anderson and Zide's "The Munda Languages", opened the pdf halfway through and found a surprisingly long section on Gorum, which not only looked a lot like the example, but also seems to have shifted its palat...

yeah it's Rawang (the Rvmøl dialect to be precise) - the paper I took this from had this story transcribed both in the orthography and in IPA - I decided to use the IPA transcription, since the orthography is very distinctive, but I knew either you or dendana would guess it immediately.

Mali is obscure, but once you've seen it it's pretty much ingrained in your head since it looks very distinctive.
