Apparently I forgot to post this, but:
https://github.com/Mocha2007/mocha_verd ... .1.1-alpha
Here we go. It's playable, but doesn't have a lot of content. I haven't touched it in three months though, and I don't plan on touching it again for a while, I'm afraid.

Re: My Present Project
This mod runs on Project Alice 0.8.6 without errors, it seems.
... but there's lot of missing content before I'd consider this playable.
Guess I'm gonna have to start working on this again.

Re: My Present Project
It will work in the next update of Project Alice! Is this something I should know about? It's an open-source implementation of Victoria 2 that's making stunning progress: https://github.com/schombert/Project-Alice . It requires the base game files to run (until they replace the art assets), but run...

Good news and bad news:
Bad news: It's still broken in Victoria 2.
Good news: It will work in the next update of Project Alice! (Allegedly coming out this weekend)

/k/ is the sharpest sound, so it must be the triangle,
/p/ is the roundest sound, so it must be the circle,
/t/ is intermediate in aesthetic, so it must be the square

Re: Conlang Random Thread
So, I don't know whether to go for /mw/ > /nw/ or > /mm/... I don't really like the sound of /mw/ and geminites are totally a thing in my L conlang. But, I have words where sometimes the /nw/ version sounds better or sometimes the /mm/ sounds better, but there's no phonetic justification for both i...

Re: Conlang Random Thread
Elsewhere online I came across this: https://toaq.net/ . I know we don’t discuss loglangs very much here, but this one looks particularly well-done and interesting. Don’t know enough formal semantics to properly assess it though. This website is beautifully designed. I hope someday I can make my gr...

Re: Kala updates etc.
I was going to say they remind me a bit of the glyphs the alien computers use in Morningstar (example), probably because of the "grid" feel, although Morningstar's are definitely not as complex now that I revisit them.

Re: My Present Project
So stoked by the idea of an Almea Vicky 3 mod o.0 I don't have Vicky 3--I doubt it would run well on my computer--and Vicky 2 is what I'm familiar with modding anyway, which is why I'd choose it. As long as I set every graphical setting to minimum, and never zoom in on the map, sometimes I can get ...

Re: English questions
Unrelated: Which dialect of Hiberno-English is the one that turns the English "th" into something that sounds a lot like a simple "t"? As in, "I tink tat tis is very important"? I myself first heard that variety in Dublin, but Dublin is, of course, a city where a lot o...

Re: Irregular raising of [E] to [I]
I notice I have basically a similar but opposite situation - randomly lowering the "bit" vowel to the "bet" vowel for a handful of words, like "milk" and "pillow". I think there are examples without an L, but I can't think of any. The only word, though, on th...

How does an angry ball roll a man into a yard? Some kid lost a ball in someone's front yard. The kid and the parents went to retrieve the ball, only to be shot by the property owner (who was apparently angry about the ball rolling into his yard). And apparently the cops told the reporter this, henc...

6-Year-Old, Parents Shot by Man Angry Ball Rolled Into Yard: Cops Oof, that’s a trainwreck. How does an angry ball roll a man into a yard? Some kid lost a ball in someone's front yard. Re: timekeeping and calendars
I once played with the idea of a culture that wouldn't really have a mathematically developed calendar - instead, they would handle astronomical irregularities by counting years and days based on Spring Festivals, and each year, in each community, the Spring Festival would be celebrated 10 days aft...

People who have hadn't played typing games as a kid how well can you type? I can type without looking because i know instinctively the place of keys and i type fairly quickly much faster then i write. I had a typing class in 6th grade, but I played flash games whenever the teacher wasn't looking, s...

Ellirnae (something like [e'ʝɨɾ.nə], I suppose), my current conworld, is a mars-sized moon orbiting a superjupiter called Tarka. Another of its peculiarities is that the difference between its rotational inclination, its orbital inclination and its jupiter's orbit around the local star are so small...

Metonic cycle? Lack of true Solar Eclipses? Leap Years? Other astronomical gibberish like star cycles or whatever they are called? All boring which is why i made the Bindgingverse have none of that handwaved of course by being a constantly expanding magic orb. A year is a year with perfectly aligne...

Re: timekeeping and calendars
Not enough conworld calendars incorporate the Metonic cycle . Every 19 years, the lunar cycles return to the same position within the solar year. By the time this happens, the lunar calendar is exactly seven phases behind, so you can add a month to seven of the nineteen years as scheduled leap mont...
