There's only one mother tongue speaker lately, and it looks like he's not home :).

Ūlialia. Ke "kākau" ka pili ia o ka "tattoo". Coincidence. "Kākau" is cognate with "tattoo".
Nui huaʻōlelo Hawai'i, he kohu Kepanī ʻoe ke nānā aku. A lot of Hawai'ian words look like they could be Japanese.

"in vier von fünf dieser Sprachen" is perfectly fine - ok, perhaps "in vier von fünf von diesen Sprachen" would sound more like everyday speech - but at the end, it should be "entstammt".

Why did I forget whether I was using the singular or the plural mid-sentence?

I do not know why I conjugated "benutzen" as a strong verb.
Pōʻalua "Momona" keia. Ua ʻai mākou i nā pączki ma ka hana. Ua oha ka ʻahahui poʻe hana i ʻeono kākini, akā hoʻi pau i ka lilo. Today is Fat Tuesday. We ate pączki at work. The staff organisation ordered six dozen; even so they all sold out.
Ua kūʻai mai i ʻelua mea wale, hoʻokahi mea me ʻīkomo pukini a me hoʻokahi mea me ʻīkomo ʻapelekoka. Ua ʻai koke au i ka mea ʻapelekoka akā hoʻokoe au i kekahi. Manaʻo au e ʻai mahope aku, akā hāʻawi aku au iā kekahi kanaka. I bought only two of them, one with a custard filling and one with an apricot filling. I ate the apricot one right away but I put aside the other. I intended to eat it later but I offered it to someone.
No wai? He hoa hana punahele. Ake nui noʻu e hoʻohui me ia, akā ʻena aku iaʻu. Ua hele mai ʻoia i ka lumi kope ma ka waihona puke i keia lā a hō aku au i ka mea momona. Ua inu ʻoia i kope hoʻohuʻihuʻi a kamakamaʻilio māua no ka manawa. To whom? A favourite coworker. I've been longing to meet with him but he's shy. He came to the coffee shop in the library today and I gave him the sweet. He drank iced coffee and we chatted for a while.
I should remember to buy pączkis tonight, because I forgot to buy them this morning.
I don’t think I’ve ever had a pączki before - are they different from doughnuts?
Kei te hari au i āwhina te pączki i a koe ki te kōrero me tāu hoa mahi. I’m glad the pączki helped you talk to your coworker.

He ʻano o koneko ka pączek. Ua momona aʻe ka palaoa hoʻowaliʻia a ua nui aʻe pinepine. A pączek is a kind of doughnut. The dough is richer and they are frequently bigger.

Eia ke ala hele nō i ko kāne naʻau! This is the way to a man's heart!
I've had a pączek only once since I moved to Chicago. A pity.
I suppose pączki are only eaten in Poland and in cities in America with big Polish populations?
AFAIK they don't exist in the Pacific Northwest nor New England. I had never heard of them before Chicago.

*) Question – what is more likely to be used, the Latin loan or the native coinages? In German, you’ll find the native coinages (Fürwort, Bindewort) in school contexts and popular texts (like style guides), but the Latin loans (Pronomen, Konjunktion) in university contexts or linguistic texts.

I am quite certain that in Polish you only use the Polish terms. I never heard the Latin terms in the context of any language when I was studying in Warsaw. Google Scholar says the same.

He probably just never finished one because they tend to be quite big =)
Żartuję. Aspekt czasownikowy to koszmar w językach słowiańskich.
I am joking. Verbal aspect is a nightmare in Slavic languages.
