Quick question for our Finnish contingent
In native words, how common are the following consonant clusters in roots, not across morpheme boundaries?
Self-referential signatures are for people too boring to come up with more interesting alternatives.
Re: Quick question for our Finnish contingent
Do you mean across syllable boundaries? I would say something like this:
Less unusual: hl (mahla, pihlaja, kahlata, tuhlata), lh (ylhäällä, alhaalla, kulho, valhe)
Very unusual: tv (latva, Ritva), tr (Kultakutri, mutrusuu), sm (horsma, Sysmä), sl (kaisla)
Not in native words: pl, pr, kl, kr, sh, sn, sj, hs, mh, ln
What is this for?
