Yes, it is from North America. Defining "Mesoamerican" as "spoken in Mexico/Central America" then yes, that is correct too!

The original source doesn't specify I don't think, but I would suspect it's stress rather than tone just based on its distribution.

The language is no longer spoken, that is also correct.

I somehow thought they were all extinct, despite having the Wikipedia page open. Is it a Comecrudan language then?
