A user of zeptoforth and zeptocom.js reported that zeptocom.js was broken with regard to zeptoforth on the RP2350 (but not zeptoforth on the RP2040). After several days of hacking on both of those I was completely stumped ─ seemingly no change to the zeptoforth USB driver nor any change to zeptocom.js fixed the problem or even mitigated it. Then today I hit upon a breakthrough ─ greatly shrinking the size of the buffer used by Web Serial in zeptocom.js made the problem go away in most cases. But that still leaves a big question ─ just why did this problem specifically affect the RP2350, especially since USB under the RP2350 is supposed to be completely backwards compatible with USB on the RP2040 with one exception that did not affect zeptoforth?

TL;DR – Guy was a registered sex offender. Convicted of propositioning a minor, and not in the “she lied about her age” sense—the target was not even a teenager.

Minor complaint in the grand scheme of things but my Internet and cable quit working last night. Usually this issue resolves itself in several hours but nothing has happened so far. The apartment complex handles both of those so I will have to wait until the office opens for any help.

[My phone can go online without Wi-Fi but doing everything through it is taxing to say the least.]

Edit: I scheduled an appointment to get the connection fixed on Sunday, which means I will have to miss some of my favorite shows. Can't life let me have anything?

I don't blame myself for not knowing (abusers are notoriously skilled at concealing their abuse from folks they aren't targeting) but I'm upset that someone could abuse my trust like this.

I currently have 4,865 unread emails in one account, 846 in another, 110 in my main one and 13 in my fourth. My old school one had about 1,300 when I finished. I do not intend to read any of these at any point.

Set up a rule in your email to automatically delete all email without a sender.

There’s a guy on Threads who is complaining that we call it “Havana” and not “La Habana” in English. People are replying to him talking about intervocalic lenition in Spanish and he is trying to deny it exists, citing his birth in Puerto Rico (EDIT: Cuba) and doubling down when presented with evidence to the contrary.
