"Ginko leaves aren't food."

Notes:
  • 銀杏 shōbashiya, literally "silver apricot" is a calque from Japanese; Ginko trees aren't a native plant in-setting, so I didn't have a word for them handy;
  • The element 銀 shō, Proto-Tinasan-Ineshîmé *siyo, likely related to 皓 shiro ("brilliant white, very bright white"), initially a bound element in 銀鍊 ("shōgane"), in which form it is still frequently seen; compare 皓鍊 shirogane, cognate to Japanese 銀 shirogane ("silver"), but now referring to platinum;
  • The element 杏, as a standalone pashiya, Early Ineshîmé pashiha, Old Tinasan pasiha, is probably an Indo-European borrowing, note Greek melon persikon; internally, however, it may stem from a form *pàsí pá > *basifa > pasifa, pasiha (f > h was common dialectally in early Tinasan), with the first element meaning "bridge, crossing, steps" and the second probably from the first element in Proto-Tinasan-Ineshîmé *pàrá "field" — originally a place name Pàsípárà > Pàsípá, where such fruits were grown; the form would yield expected *bashiya, the initial devoicing being probably analogical;
  • 食𛀁 hae is the stem of the verb 食𛀁る haeru "be edible", a transitive-switched form of 食ゆ hayu "eat"; the initial element of Proto-Tinasan-Ineshîmé *páyo2-u is probably cognate with * "leaf", Proto-Japonic *pa "leaf, tooth, edge, blade, feather(?)"; the element is also used on its own to mean "food"; other forms include 食𛀁方 haegata (once formal, using the polite pronoun suffix 方 kata, -gata, literally "direction"), 喰 keuil ("thing put in one's mouth"), 喰𛀁る keuyeru ("to put in one's mouth"), 喰𛀁う keuyeu ("to gobble up"), all having a vaguely childish tone to them.

Not at all. fas is a locative verb, with the core meaning of ‘stand at a place’. So Sikbey fas naal means ‘Is this anywhere?’; the ‘documented’ is recoverable from context (hence the square brackets).
