Has anyone else noticed their login cookies going stale really fast of late?

I haven't, but then again, I usually check the "remember me" box.

So do I, which is puzzling.

Today, I'm sometimes getting an error message here that I've never seen before: not anything from the Board itself, but just my browser telling me it can't reach the page, while websites from other domains look just fine. Anyone else got that?

Yes, had it once a few minutes ago.

Let me repeat my general advice to highlight each and every one of your posts once you've written it, and use the "copy" command before you hit "submit".

There’s been a few instances of the board taking a long time to load for me (though no actual errors, just latency).

I've started getting a few “too many requests” again recently.

Cloudflare had an outage the other day. Perhaps it is related to that?

Does the ZBB use Cloudlare? I never had to check any of their boxes here.

I’ve been getting a bunch of different errors, including that one.

Me too, I assume it's related to this:

Those obviously aren't people. It's like 4 times the highest count ever, I think.

Same thing with the now-closed conlang list archives,
and very slow access to frathwiki...
An AI would be interested in conlanging...

This may be the case. Perhaps someone is currently training an LLM in order to use it as a generator of conlangs.

Would it be possible to IP-block these LLM's?

Could there be a new rule somewhere in the software saying something like "If you're logged in, you get one request every 3 seconds, not more, and if you're not logged in, you get one request every 10 seconds, not more"?

How static is the IP address for verduria.org? My anti-malware program is blocking access even when the url is in its allow list. ('Blocked due to port scan') I added the IP address to the allow list, which works for now, but my impression is that most IP addresses are dynamic. Forgive my relative ignorance on a topic that's pretty basic for many of you.

Change your anti-malware program. It should not be blocking websites because of what ports they have open.

Thanks Travis, that's good to know.

zompist, could you add one of those "are you a human" tests to the board to block whatever AI(s) someone is seemingly using the Zeeb to train with?
