Ugh, that sucks.
That really does suck.
By now, I see this in a cooler way. There are problems with the job, but there may be a way to solve them. On Tuesday, I have a meeting with my superior and my social advisor, and perhaps we'll find a way to carry on. I want to keep this job, and I am very confident that my superior wants to keep me, too. She has said that the job profile is not hewn in stone but can be changed to meet my abilities and limitations.
Good luck with that!

It was successful. The problems can be solved, and I'll keep the job.

I filed my first-ever complaint with the Federal Trade Commission today. A QR code web site appears to be in violation of UDAAP, advertising free QR codes and then shaking you down after a week for $35 a month/$350 yearly. Google shows a lot of other irate users like myself. This is especially troublesome as I had needed to generate a few codes for my pencil pal.

Somehow the car engine fixed itself yesterday, allowing the car to pass the emissions test and get its plates renewed. It feels genuinely strange for something good to happen like this out of nowhere and I honestly found it hard to believe at first. Nonetheless it saves me hundreds of dollars and avoids the possibility of losing my only transportation.

Unfortunately my microwave remains broken. The apartment staff said they ordered a replacement part, but it will not arrive until next week. Until then, I will have to find other ways to warm leftovers.

Great to hear! (Although rotting bones is right, this is the wrong thread for good news.)

Perhaps, but I wanted to post an update on my previous vent. Unearned grace seems rather harsh in any case. This is the first time in years that something good has happened for me without having to work for it.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a socialist. I'm 100% in favor of unearned grace.

I was only saying it would be more motivating for good news to go to the celebration list.

1. An old ghost from my cult days has become relevant again.
2. The superintendent of my old high school posted an utterly tone-deaf and idiotic article that basically boils down to “Stop whining about your job and work”.
