The Taliban is primarily made up of Pashtuns and originated in Pakistan, and Peshawar in Pakistan is a major Pashtun cultural center and is where the entire Pashto movie industry has been based for almost half a century. It also seems hard to find Pashto songs that don't come from Pakistan, especially from recent years. There are plenty of non-Pashtun Afghans in Pakistan as well.
