Long vowels take rising pitch before front vowels and palatals, and rising-falling pitch before back vowels and [w]; all other syllables take falling pitch

I believe its /e eː o oː/ are generally thought to have been [ɛ ɛː ɔ ɔː], but that level of specificity wasn't really what Tolkien was aiming for.

In honour of this, however —

Mid vowel laxing:

[man kɛnuva mɛːtim anduːnɛ]

(Edit: It was apparently only the short vowels that were probably "laxer", but no take-backsies.)

nasals palatalize when geminated, assimilate to adjacent consonant, and otherwise neutralize to /n/
