And I should emphasize that a single word should be able to last for months ─ our goal here is not to destroy words as fast as possible as we have seen here.

We exist in a thread where there's a conspiracy to do Vowel in open/stressed/monosyllable into a long vowel, then break said long vowel often into two syllables something I cannot attest to happening in any language (please correct me if I'm wrong I know of languages losing every initial consonant like pama nguyan but and even languages converting long vowels into vowel + hard consonant sequences like faroese or even long vowel + glide to long vowel + syllabic glide (the language I am using right now) but predominantly CVCV languages becoming CVCVCV languages without the addition of derivation/compounding/noun class is something I've never seen)

We need a way of introducing new syllables somehow, with how some people insist on reducing the syllable count at like every opportunity.

Most known words don't go through enough sound changes to justify keeping them around as long as we do. I'd say take someone giving a CV word as an oppurtunity to practice starting from a monosyllabic CV language and see how far you can go with that. Try to figure out how to change *ba to *mœ then change it to *mwe and have it eventually end up *fja instead of just going *bo > *baw > *bawa in three posts.
