Wait, did you not get a second message from me with links? I thought I sent you a message with links to a grammar and a vocab sheet.

EDIT: I can't find it in my outbox, so I sent it again. I could have sworn I sent those links over a week ago. So sorry, Zju.

At long last I've translated the torch and have started working on translating it to Lùlàjnòj. That shouldn't take more than a few days, but let me not jinx it...

Thanks for the update! The timing is good — I’m nearly done work on Brassica v1.0.0, so once that’s finished I’ll (hopefully, with luck) have more time to focus on getting my conlang in good shape.

Got it, should be ready by next week, weather permitting.

Oh, this is much tighter timing than what I was expecting. Let’s see how it goes.

If you're not particularly in a hurry, neither will I. I still have to translate parts of the grammar and lexicon of Dri Mreatt from French to English.

Sure, take your time.

(Mind you, I have been learning French, so these could be an interesting exercise for me. But, then again, it’s always possible that the effort of translating Dri Mreatt to Eŋes by way of French could be what finally tips me over the edge into complete gibbering insanity. One must weigh these things up. Better send me an English version too, just in case…)

Torch received. (I’d been wondering what happened to it.) I’ll do my best to have it translated reasonably promptly, though I may need to make a couple more posts on Eŋes grammar before it’s ready to be sent off to Darren.

This is taking longer than I expected, so I thought I should give an update on how this is going…

The short version is, I am still working on the translation. It’s nearly done: I estimate that I’m about 75% of the way through the text. Due to personal circumstances it’s been going slower than I like, but with luck I should have the text fully translated into Eŋes in the next couple of weeks.

(Vilike needn’t worry about any massive failure on his part: as I recall, I managed to translate most of the text from Dri Mreatt in only a few days.)

That being said, there is something I would like to ask Darren (who I understand to be next in line). As is often the case, I have a certain amount of grammar in my head, beyond what I’ve yet actually written up about Eŋes. Unfortunately, a fair bit of that is relevant for the translation. So I give Darren a choice: either I can quickly write up some summary notes and leave you to sort out the mess, or you can wait a bit longer for me to write up a properly detailed description of the main grammatical topics. Which do you prefer?

Just give me a quick summary, it's more fun that way

Well, OK then. But don’t say I didn’t warn you…
