Also: when did you change your avatar? I didn't even notice until just now.
I did it. I made the world's worst book review blog.

When US confirmed cases of COVID-19 began going back up, so around a few weeks ago? If something else big happens in the news, I'll change the background again.

I am now working on a constant folder for zeptoforth, so that when certain words are inclined constants can be compiled directly into them as constant arguments rather than being pushed onto the stack, saving space and processor time.

I now have both queuing channels (like Unix pipes) and what I call "fast" channels (i.e. like Stackless Python channels) working in zeptoforth.

If you like pretty fractals, I've just created three videos of zooms in the Mandelbrot set. I made a Youtube channel for them. This took incredibly long to render, I had to use cloud computing (which wasn't free)... Hope you enjoy them!

I made a few more Mandelbrot videos. These two, in particular, took really long to render... but I think the results were worth it.

Whoa! I don't think I've seen those spiral tail formations before. Definitely worth the rendering time, although youtube's compression algorithm blurred a few seconds of the first one :(

I've created some miniature gingerbread houses over the past couple of weeks. If anyone wants to take a look: https://www.deviantart.com/zefyrinus/ar ... -865656248

These are so good! They look delicious, what have you used for those tiled roofs?

Thanks, Raphael and Quint! :D

For the roof I used salmiak beams that I cut into pieces.

Unfortunately those are not very available here in the US. On another note, your mini-gingerbread houses came out really well.

Would you have tried making the same otherwise?

The pieces didn't fit that well together though, because they swelled so much in the oven. I made 1-2 spares for every kind of piece though, so I just had to make the best of what I had.

You may remember me complaining that I couldn't find any good literary blogs recently. Well, apparently I solved this problem by making it worse and starting my own, extremely terrible book blog: https://hotoffthepresses417708095.wordpress.com/
I did it. I made the world's worst book review blog.

Holy s#*t that's the best validation I've gotten so far. Thank you! I just put a new post up a few hours ago.

EDIT: a full third of making this blog consists of scrolling through Amazon new releases trying to find something that's not "Book 37 in the Erotic Vegetable Insertion Series." Just wanted you to know how much I suffer for my art.
