Got zeptoforth (sans RNG support) working on the STM32F411 "black pill" board!

After dreading it for over two years, my first confirmed case of COVID has turned out to be kind of a cakewalk. One really bad day, a couple no-good ones, and now I'm basically back on my feet and itching to leave the house (thought the CDC doesn't think I should leave before tomorrow and my employer won't let me back until Wednesday at the very earliest).

Good to hear that it wasn't that bad, all things considered.

zeptoforth seems to have reached "if you build it they will come" mode, as now every few days I hear of someone interested in it without having to really go out of my way that much to drum up interest. For instance, someone already is trying to use my new STM32F411 "Black Pill" platform support on an STM32F411 Nucleo-64 board, which it appears to largely be compatible with despite not being originally implemented for or tested on it, and STM32F411 support has only been out since last Saturday.

I’ve been diagnosed with sleep apnea. Finally, we know why I’m so tired all the time.

Thank you, all of you. It does seem to be treatable, but I have to wait seven to ten business days to be able to get a CPAP machine.

I guess I don't have COVID any more? The CDC guidelines aren't exactly reassuring: "Isolate for ten days and, if at the end of that time, you're asymptomatic, we'll assume you're no longer contagious." But the upshot is I can rejoin society again so I guess I'll go with it.

Yeah, the way I phrased that post it seems more appropriate for the Contradictory Feelings thread, so I'll retcon it by pointing out that I had a very mild case (one bad day with significant fever, two kind of crappy days with high temperature, and then a week of just feeling kind of run down) for which I am incredibly grateful and which I'm not taking for granted. My flatmate had an even milder case except that he's experiencing loss of taste and I'm very happy to have dodged that particular bullet.

Somehow I can't picture experience loss of taste to be "milder" — sure, one may have had, say, less of a fever, but loss of taste? That seriously sucks.

I escaped that particular symptom, fortunately. I'm told it lasts for months.

Months? I've heard that in some people, it seems to last permanently.

I got analog-digital converter support implemented and, as far as my testing with my microcontrollers' backed-up temperature sensor support goes, working on each of the supported platforms in zeptoforth. Now I just need to document it and make a release including it.
