*nani “black” from OA *nane from PCA *nane “tail-like”
Also means back from conflation with the underside meaning of *apa “white” itself probably from association with *amapa “be under”
Probably derives from oppositions in meaning as the tip of Chienna's tails are white.

*maniti “hand”
>*manitikusi “hand+use” to grasp
Notes on usage: Has much gentler connotations than english “grasping” so “grasping” at ideas would be more like “to come up with ideas”

*kuritu “to ready to/poise for/to/pose for” from PCA *kourito “to ripen/mature” from PA *kourito “to wait”
