Atlantean Language by the Creator of the Klingon Language: New Text with Links to Grammars and Dictionaries
This is part of an "Atlantis The Lost Empire" film fanfic translated into the actual Okrand Atlantean language of the movie back in 2018 by me. This language was made by the creator of the Klingon Language, Marc Okrand. It's his only other sizeable language and even meant as a complete conceptual contrast to Klingon.

Before the Great Flood, the people of Atlantis began sending their people beyond the borders to explore and to create new kingdoms.

Notes:
It's an SOV language with only postpositions and Japanese subordinate clause order.
This is the official and canonical spelling, the native one. There's also a Berlitz style one that's more common in the books that came out with the movies, and a variant of that.
( The above is not glossed using standard scientific abbreviations or morpheme designations to make it more accessible to a general audience. I have also worked hard to pioneer such styles of glossing in my lifetime and even think they are the wave of the future in terms of overall accessibility for both scientists and non-scientists. At least in some situations. )
-EN Plural
-TEM Oblique Case
-AG Genitive Case
-E Infinitive
-MIL Adjective, Singular
-IM TOH Past Tense. 3.PL .
( I could be Perfect for all I know. Past was my best guess as of 2018 or even 2010 when I last did the most work on this language. I got my BA Linguistics in 2009. )
-@ ( Verbs that modal verbs modify are not marked by affixes. )
...
Notes on writing system:
This is the actual writing system and orthography from the movie. It writes boustrophedon: right to left, then left to right, then right to left.
Except that it would only use spaces as word spacers, whereas I use | as a word-initial word spacer, like in the Behistun Inscription. Then I also here use || for a sentence final marker and : | for a comma. Gods or divine things are in red. These are all ancient conventions from around the world.
The background is a Bronze Script Chinese inscription because I think Atlantean was made to visually resemble that or Large Seal Script Chinese for overall appearance. It's otherwise mostly Phoenician and some Elder Futhark and Chinese with numerals | and : based on Mayan Hieroglyphic (5 and 2). It's round with a square hole in keeping with both Ancient Chinese and Ancient India iconography (visual cosmology, aesthetics).
...
Thoughts: I have to decide how and if to make infinitives and participles (gerunds) in Atlantean. For this one, 2018, I used -E for infinitive but recently I've been using it for -ing, making gerunds. I also need to read about this stuff to try to get it right. Let's see what my few books and internet have to say. O ye viewers of this new Zompist Bboard, do you have any idea about this? I can mostly only remember what English and Latin does, though I've studied tremendous numbers of languages. Also 1600s Massachusett, which I think lacks gerunds or participles.
