I have one slight suggestion w.r.t. the romanization -- why don't you use an ogonek for nasalization rather than a tilde, so it will look better when combined with a macron for length?

Oh, and one other thing -- when I saw this I originally thought it was supposed to be a 'reconstruction' of an ancient language spoken in what is now Italy, as Liguria is a region of Italy, and the Ligurians were an ancient Italian people.

(There is also a modern Gallo-Romance language by the same name, spoken in the same general area as the ancient Ligurian.)

Thanks. I didn't realize that's an option.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Names_of_Istanbul:
According to a brief remark in Pliny the Elder's Natural History, Byzantium was first known as Lygos.[1] The origin and meaning of the name are unknown. It may have been the name of a Thracian settlement situated on the site of the later city near the point of the peninsula (Sarayburnu).[2] Simon Zsolt has suggested it was etymologically related to the Greek name for the Ligures and derived from the Anatolian ethnonym Ligyes,[3] a tribe that appears to have been neighbors to the Paphlagonians.[4]

I'm trying to modify the script to turn it into an instrument for exploring spaces of possible IE languages.
