Nordic Conlang Project Needs Volunteers!

Greetings fellow Conlangers.

I need your help! I am studying Nordic languages at the University of Helsinki and I am doing my bachelor’s degree on constructed languages made by people from the Nordic countries. My aim is to analyse some aspects of these constructed languages for the bachelor’s degree and continue with the same material to my master’s degree later.

Now, I need material for the analysis which is why I am making this post.

I am looking for volunteers to send their notes about their constructed languages for this study. The notes about the constructed language can be as extensive as you want, but for my purposes more is better. This study focuses on the linguistic aspects of the constructed languages, so keep that in mind when sending the material. Please note that the study focuses on constructed languages made by people from the Nordic countries, aka people from Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden. People who are not from these countries cannot participate in this study, unfortunately. I am also asking for some background information about the volunteers which can be seen in the Background and consent form below. Please, read and fill the form carefully.

If you wish to participate in the study, please send as complete notes as possible about your constructed language and the Background and consent form filled to me via DM or to conlangemail(at)gmail.com.

For your privacy, the DMs and emails will be deleted after the material and Background and consent form have been saved. If you wish to drop out from the study later on, send an email to me with the name of the constructed language you have sent.

If you are interested in this study, but have additional questions, please send a DM or an email. If the question is such that other people might benefit from the answer, please, send it as a comment to this post. I am happy to answer all the questions you have.

Background information and consent form

Please fill your information as given in the following instructions.

First Language: Meaning your home language and the language you are most comfortable using. You can state multiple languages if you feel you have multiple first languages.
Second Languages: Other languages you can speak apart from your first languages. You can state as many languages as you like as your second language.
Home Country and Region: The country and the region (city, province etc.) you are from.
Studies in Linguistics: If you have formally studied linguistics in any form, please give a small summary of your studies.
Languages You Have Created: State the names of the languages you are sending for the study. This helps to connect the background information with the constructed languages.
Contact Information (Optional): If you wish to receive information about the research and the final paper to read when it is ready, please leave your contact information (email). Please note that the final paper will be in Swedish.
