Here's Salibian! It's a language descended from Old Occitan that has been heavily influenced by Levantine Arabic.

It’s a good language.

(This language is pretty underdeveloped at the moment… I can’t say much more with it than that.)

(Oh, and by the way: how do you get ‘Behold’ from ‘result pair eye DIST1 OPT’?)

Thanks for asking! Stacked nouns are in a head initial genitive relationship. 'du' is a nominaliser focusing on the result of an agent or a process; 'du mu rho' is a set phrase meaning 'sight' - the result of your two eyes. Proximate/distal distinctions (with so far at least 3 levels though I may add more) are used to express association with grammatical persons, e.g. a noun tagged as proximate may be 'this noun' or 'my noun'. 'Du mu rho ai' means 'your sight'. I glossed 'keiŋ' as optative, but it's a particle expressing hope or a request that what comes before it is provided to the speaker. 'Give me your sight please.'

I went back to add in 'gu' which I glossed rather clumsily as CONSC - I don't know what to call it, but I realised I had flouted one of the key rules of the language by not adding it: any phrase referring to a sentient, conscious creature deemed capable of making complex decisions involving theory of mind must be tagged by this particle. It's a 'conscience' marker: a reminder of responsibility, and it's like a weight you can't shake. Vegeco superimposes ethical judgments on actions at a syntactic level: it's a thought experiment conlang tailored to a particular set of ethical principles.

I can say precisely none of that in Vegeco! Thread pending.

You cannot explain everything with science.

(Note that I'm a hardcore sceptic myself, I'm just replying in a Sajiwan mindset :).)

Im in el ota Obit Ya, fo ray :). Oba tahning gwan gut, mi sta tahn cata 4 pwaya taym, an im longga won olip wohk.
It's not from The Hobbit, actually :). But translation is going well, I've started with chapter 4 a while ago, and it still needs a lot of work.

(It's the chapter they get caught by the goblins/orks, and there's a horrible goblin song full of nonsense words that may prove difficult.)

You wouldn’t like translating the Jabberwocky then!

Dzhaaberwokii

(Oh, and I think ‘orc’ has ⟨c⟩ in it rather than ⟨k⟩, not that that matters.)
