Cuneiform book recs?
i'm interested in learning more about cuneiform than i can get from wikipedia. does anyone have any recommendations for books or other further reading? i'm especially interested in the structure of how it worked in sumerian, as well as the process of adapting it to akkadian (and hittite and so on). thank you!

Re: Cuneiform book recs?
I've relied heavily on Roger D. Woodard, ed., The Ancient Languages of Mesopotamia, Egypt, and Aksum, which covers both Akkadian and Sumerian (and as a bonus, Egyptian).
The same material is also part of the much larger book The Cambridge Encyclopedia of the World’s Ancient Languages, which is a real treasure for conlangers if you can afford it.
