Recently i was suprised to hear a line i misheard as "See you in new york, drinking ideas" was actually "I see you in the yard, drinking a beer" which is not as poetic but fits better with the song and is perhaps more poetic in the context. I assume everyone has misheard song lyrics at some point so perhaps you could share them.

Those are called Monde Greens. A one that I used to hear is:

"𝆔𝆺𝅥𝅮𝆺𝅥𝅯 ... It's the river of the night... "

I accidentally created one translating lyrics for a friend a few weeks ago — it was supposed to be "Your wrath's scorchin' red", but it came out sounding like "Your ass scorchin' red" to some people. It was relatively fine in context, though.

By far the worst song lyrics i have heard are from This is How your Remind Me by Nickelback besides rap of course. Rap sucks.

After renaming this thread i got to say by far the best music i listened to this year so far has been this. Just nice chamber music with some ambience. I like the flutes.

is the name applicable to cross-linguistic misunderstanding?

In the latest for song metaphors we have "No effects" presumably digital referring to seeing someone as they truly are.
