"Through a gap in the space-time continuum caused by the more arcane aspects of a mysterious branch of physics not described or understood by any science we know of, this particular piece of dialogue ended up appearing on the enchanted notepapers of a powerful mage on a world in a different universe, one where magic is real though technology is medieval.
Now, the mage, who had been going through a bit of an essential doubts crisis recently, knows what his next mission is: To find a way to turn a ruby into a python!"
Re: Happy things thread!
And when he has done that, to find out how to turn a pearl into a ruby, and then how to make a python rust.

The family member who had gotten herself a serious bruise about a month ago had her first day back at work yesterday, and it went great!

I have had one user try out zeptoIP, my IP stack on top of zeptoforth! (Weirdly, though, they had trouble connecting to their WiFi router but it worked fine with their phone's WiFi hotspot...)

So, I am absolutely elated to say that I had a blast at Georgetown Univ. presenting during the first ever Kopikon.
I got to meet John Quijada, Biblaridion, Sally Caves, Sylvia Sotomayor, and got to eat dinner with Marc Okrand for the third time...the presentations were truly interesting and engaging. And GU treated us really well.
The full livestream was recorded and is up on youtube for anyone that's interested.

Sounds to me like the experience was a lot better than the website! I'm glad you had a good time.masako wrote: ↑Mon Sep 25, 2023 7:05 am https://kopikon.com/

Re: Happy things thread!
My (tiny) HTTP server running on my Raspberry Pi Pico W now actually works, without leaving lots of enclosed connections on the client end.

Re: Happy things thread!
I have managed to get a number of bugs out of zeptoIP through testing it with my little HTTP server, including both issues with connection closure (e.g. clients being left in LAST_ACK state) and issues with connection initiation (e.g. the first byte sent being sporadically lost).

And they're in the stairwell again.

What’s so special about the stairwell?

I doesn't go below freezing in the winter. An open balcony in winter in a place where winter might mean freezing temperatures can be bad for some types of flowers.

Ah, I sometimes forget your seasons are the wrong way round.
