I’ve suddenly started getting error messages again. Since I still have admin access I checked the phpBB error log, but it doesn’t seem to list any errors. Alas, I seem to have lost FTP access (presumably since zompist did the right thing and changed the password), so I can do no more for now.

Not directly ZBB-related, but Firefox just sent me a security warning when I visited zompist.com. I had to click on something like "Accept the risk and go on" to view the website.

Looks like zompist’s SSL certificate expired 3 days ago, and he — or his host — hasn’t renewed it yet. (A curious coincidence, since I renewed my SSL certificate just today!)

Similar to me, on Chrome, since about 2-3 days. I'm mostly accessing zompist.com on my work computer, and my experience with other sites is that this is the first step to not being able to access them at all in a couple of weeks and months. As it's my work computer, I can't change the security settings. But I don't know how many other users have that problem and if it's worth it for zomp to renew his SSL certificate just for me :-)

It's managed by the host, bluehost. I just logged in and the site says SSL is turned on... I will have to look into it further.

It seems to be fine again now.

I don't see any issue under Chrome either myself. (Just checked, and it says the certificate was issued yesterday.)

I'm getting 500s and literal 404s. They generally resolve upon reload but the problems are happening again.

I’ve been getting them for a while. Like I said:

I didn't actually change the password... I just logged in and it worked. E-mail me if you can't get in still.

OK, right now it seems to be near impossible to look at threads and post.

It seems to be sometimes better and sometimes worse, though I’m not sure why.

zompist gave me access to the server again… and immediately I found many errors of the following sort:
[29-Feb-2024 08:45:05 America/Boise] PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Error: mysqli object is not fully initialized in /home3/verduria/public_html/phpbb/db/driver/mysqli.php:200
Not sure what’s causing this, but at least I have a place to start now.

After further investigation, I think this is an issue with Dreamhost, not one which I can fix. I’ve emailed zompist with the details.

You’re welcome! (Though it’s selfish too… I like this forum.)

Did anyone else spent several hours today getting "not acceptable" errors? That is, error 406 according to a quick web search?
