Post by Man in Space »

Post your highlights.
  • Minutes Listened: 124’449
  • Top Songs:
    1. Rotten Sound – “Choose” @ 406 streams (quite unexpected, but then again, it’s less than two minutes long…such is the nature of grindcore)
    2. FindMyName – “Show Me Your Back”
    3. 4WHEEL – “Keraunos Killer”
    4. We Hate You Please Die – “Adrenaline”
    5. King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard – “Motor Spirit”
  • Top Artists:
    1. Tim Hecker @ 7’352 minutes (a surprise until I realized how often I use his music to fall asleep to)
    2. Meshuggah
    3. King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard (my favorite band, for the record)
    4. Wels (thanks in large part to two songs that she collaborated on, which have several versions in multiple degrees of sped up and slowed + reverb)
    5. Boards of Canada
  • My 2024 Music Evolution:
    • February: Atmospheric Shred Djent
      1. Animals as Leaders
      2. Cloudkicker
      3. Meshuggah
    • April: Academic Slowed + Reverb Phonk
      1. 4WHEEL
      2. Wels
      3. FindMyName
    • May: Liminal Noise Ambient
      1. Brian Eno
      2. Tim Hecker
      3. The Inventors of Aircraft

Of course. Unless he sets his music to play while he's asleep, he's not listening to it for the whole year.

I do let it run while I sleep sometimes, but I do legitimately listen to a lot of music. (I suspect the autism has something to do with it…noise-cancelling headphones are great.)
