Yay! I finished the first draft of chapter 3 of The Hobbit (it's a small chapter). This means all the words are translated, but there's a lot of parts that are in need of attention.

I love grammar, it's the logic part of a language. Vocabulary is difficult, it'll never be finished.

Yeah, I love The Hobbit (I have copies in English, Dutch, German, Danish, Spanish, Italian and French), and Sajiwan is easy enough to translate it in a reasonable time.

I don't like cactuses that much. I like plants with interesting leaves that like water.

Kka. Lika xua xa malasenio lo kka xuas oba juo.
No. It's humid inside the greenhouse, not in the rest of the room.

Teuo kue malasenio nu au amie nu ivaui lika xi aia nxua va guxi oba guni kuaixi enio guni. Zo kka nasa.
Before I put up the greenhouse, I was trying to keep the humidity in my whole room up for the sake of my plants. Now I don't need to.

Tehi ka guizi xua xa malasenio, mie ha koie to mue kuizaxua lo hue tali lo nia xi oba.
Maybe there will be mould inside the greenhouse, but if so it will be easier to sterilise than the room would be.

Mi ful taym tahn elf song ota cata 3 a Obit Ya ina raym. It in ja isi. Mi af olta difa pah, kos it neba ebl tahn im ray sem orijinal, kos nof kos.
I finally translated the elf song from chapter 3 of The Hobbit into rhyme. It wasn't easy. I had to change various parts, since it wasn't possible to translate it exactly like the original, for many reasons.
