how about a reverse thread on 'Making Up Animal Names Without Referencing Other Animals' The Game...
it's all about, from a colloquial name in your conlang or whatever you imagine, describing qualities and traits,
making people guess a real animal that matches, even (especially) improbable...
at a minimum, each participant must :
- translate the colloquial name proposed by the precursor
- propose a colloquial name
(but it's not forbidden to translate another name proposed beforehand, or even to discuss other translations...)
we could even extend it to things...
we could even use the replies of the opposite thread to find other animals to match...

milk-giver animal = cockroach
next: arm-shaped animal
