Is there anything cool about Esperanto?

I was wondering whether there was anything about it that struck you as an interesting feature of the language.

I've never been remotely aesthetically attracted to it, but I realise I am arguing from a position of ignorance here as I don't know anything about it.

Do you have any plans to go to New Zealand in order to speak Māori? I grew up in New Zealand but I unfortunately left as a child before I could learn Māori. The only places I heard it was at the marae, and it is one of my great regrets.

I wrote a long reply about why I think this is more paranoia than reality, but I deleted it because in the end, it doesn't matter what I think.
