Next year I'll again go to Austria for holiday with my family. I hope I didn't forget how to ski.

Because the rule is, that English isn't a foreign language, because it's the common language here.

Isn't this Western chauvinism?

Du kan alltid låtsas öva ditt modersmål medan du i verklighet övar din engelska.

You can always pretend to be practising your native language while in reality you're practising your English.

Does this place have any people who can help me practise Mandarin? I really hope the grammar of the stuff I write is comprehensible.

Some people here can speak Mandarin. I can, too, though it isn't my native language. Chinese was my minor in college.

Awesome! Finding someone who can speak Mandarin makes me happy even though you use simplified characters. I’m of the opinion that traditional characters are prettier and more elegant.

Of course, I can use traditional characters, too. Do you feel that would be more convenient?
