Okay, because I don't know how to say this in Old Zlang:

IIRC, you're a non-native English speaker. When speaking of types of meat in English as eaten by humans, they are normally mass nouns. When using the noun (unless it is from a noun pair such as "pork" versus "pig") with a number they become count nouns, which refer to N number of animals of that type. So saying "I have never eaten one goat..." is essentially saying "I have never eaten an entire goat", as, say, a wolf would "eat a goat", which is a strange thing to say as a human, because humans typically do not eat entire large animals (even though they may eat prepared whole fish or even birds such as chickens) in the first place. The normal thing to say would be "I have never had goat" or, slighly less idiomatically, "I have never eaten goat", where "goat" is a mass noun referring to goat meat.

Point of order: “I have never eaten one goat” is licit for me as a unilateral, unequivocal denial in the sense that I assume xxx is going for.

Really? I find that a very odd and non-native-sounding phrasing.

Example:

“Ha-ha, John likes eating goats.”
“I’ll have you know I’ve never eaten one goat!”
