Indeed, I am now 29 and first joined the ZBB at the ripe old age of 14.

Master 2 is the second level of master in France under the latest overhaul of the higher education system. It is 5 year-levels after the baccalauréat, and one year-level above what I previously obtained in 2011, a Master of Arts in French and German. My next step, this year, is the doctorate.

Agreed. I'm not fluent either. I tend to interpret meanings from context. Before MacAnDàil translated the title as "The lexis of Réunion Creole of Malagasy origin," I'd pegged it to be "The lexicon of Réunion Creole of Malagasy origin" cause of the many lexicon-related threads in the Conclangery section.

Well, that's getting into the details of the translation (I didn't think of an English translation until I posted earlier in this thread), because, on the one hand, lexique can be translated as lexicon, as well as other words, such as dictionary. Also, in English, lexis and lexicon can be at least sometimes considered synonyms. Or we can just more simply say vocabulary.

I had no idea that z'oreille was a Malagasy calque... I thought it was sort of universal in French-based creoles.

A few questions: what does tanbav mean?
Do you have a good description of Créole tenses, like 'infinitif long, participe passé long and imparfait synthétique?
