Yes, so between studying the Scandinavian languages for my Yorkish language, and looking up my family history, I thought I might try and learn a bit of (Northern) Low German.

(Continental North Germanic was influenced pretty heavily by Middle Low German, and a good number of my ancestors hail from Lower Saxony and Schleswig-Holstein.)

Muine Greoteldern hebbt eok Platt gekürt - Lippsk Platt, met merkwördige Diphthongen. Os in "Muin Hius is kloen, nit greot."
My grandparents also spoke Lows German - Lippe Low German, with strange diphthongs. As in "My house is small, not big."

Meine deutschen Vorfahren sprachen wahrscheinlich Platt, da sie aus Pommern stammten.
My German ancestors probably spoke Platt, as they came from Pomerania.

My great-grandmother spoke Missingsch and my grandmother learned a bit of Plattdütsch from her friends in primary school.

Pour moi, l'orthographe n'est jamais une problème. C'est presque complètement régulière, même si c'est assez compliquée. Il y a (généralement) une correspondence biunivoque dès la forme orthographe à la prononciation. C'est la liaison qui est peu intuitive.
For me, (French) spelling has never been a problem. It's almost completely regular, even though it's fairly complicated. There's generally a one-to-one correspondence from the spelling to the pronunciation. It's liaison which is unintuitive (for me at least).

Although to be fair I mostly ignore the difference between /e ø o/ and /ɛ œ ɔ/, and between /ɑ̃/ and /ɔ̃/, so maybe I'm not so good after all

Il faut que je pratique le français en plus. Je l'étudiais pour neuf années à l'école, mais ça c'est finie il y a deux ans, et maintenant je commence à perdre de la vocabulaire. Mais aujourd'hui j'ai appris un nouveau mot – "biunivoque".
I should practice my French more. I studied it four nine years at school, but that finished two years ago and now I'm starting to lose vocabulary. But I've learnt a new word today - biunivoque "one-to-one".

J'étudiais le français louisianais pour une dissertation pendant l'année terminale, mais j'ai oublié bien plus de ça que du français standard.
I studied Louisiana French too for an essay during year 12, but I've forgotten even more of that than than of normal French.

La liaison aussi c’est difficile pour moi.
